Moto Jacket and Pleated Skirt

I was going through my closet a few days back and came across this tank I had bought from Nordstrom Rack. I realized that all throughout summer, I hadn’t worn it even once! For shame, I think it’s quite cute. Then I got the idea to make it a layering piece for fall! I could also wear it with jeans, boots, and a long cardigan on top.

One Item, 5 Ways ~ Downtown Chic

Look number 4 in the One Item, Five Ways series!
I had to admit, this may be my favorite of all of the looks that we shot for this series. I love how versatile it is! I could wear this pairing to work, on a date, out shopping or to one of my favorite outings, brunch with the girls.
Army green jackets have always been a staple in my wardrobe, and I feel like they’re an essential when the cooler weather hits. Some are super lightweight, like this JcPenney version that I’m wearing, unlined and with roll-up sleeves, and others can be fully insulated with hoods. They’re fantastic for adding a touch of edge to temper an outfit that’s a bit fancy or girly.

One Item, Five Ways ~ Relaxed Chic

The last and final look for the One Item, Five Ways series!
I love cozy, yet still polished outfits. This one is ideal for brunch, running out for a seasonally-themed latte, or my favorite, staying in and cozying up on the couch with loved ones.
It may be cliché to match your shoes to your bag, but I kind of don’t care. I actually think it looks great and pulls together/grounds a look that combines multiple colors. Here, I kept the materials the same, with rich orangey leather.

Nude Tones

You may recognize this Pleione midi skirt from a recent post.. I decided to go more tone-on-tone this time, pairing it with nude heels and a slate blue and blush patterned crop top. I would totally wear this top and heels with jeans, but swapping them out for the colorblocked skirt lends a more polished, feminine vibe.
