DFT Hippie Fur Favorites - 5Mark and I are home from our Las Vegas anniversary trip and are trying our best to settle back in to work and the “daily grind”. After 2 PM happy hours, dancing by ourselves while overlooking the entire strip on the High Roller at the Linq, gettin’ down to some throwback Thursday tunes at L.A.X… It’s been difficult haha!
On a different and very exciting note, I am happy to share that I will be collaborating with more boutiques and brands in the upcoming months, and am SO thrilled to show you all some gorgeous new clothes, products, and beauty items I’ve fallen in love with.
In the light of the upcoming festival season, or maybe just a craving for uncomplicated dressing when the weather turns to unbearably hot, I’ve recently been fully embracing a boho luxe aesthetic! I’ve partnered with BohoCheri, a local boutique specializing in relaxed shapes, luxe fabrics, and one-of-a-kind bags and jewelry crafted by local artisans, to bring you a gorgeous Spring Lookbook.
First up is this surprisingly wearable ombre fur vest. It would look amazing over a tank and shorts, bundled up with a high-necked sweater and jeans if you’re still in a cooler climate, or a touch more girly, paired with a dress and ankle booties, as I have here.

Rose Maxi Dress

I instantly fell in love with this dress when I saw it on HM.com. One thing I didn’t realize is that it features thigh-high slits on either side! Fantastic for a pool party or brunch, but a little too revealing to wear this stunner to work. It happened to be quite warm this day, as is more often the case than not since July has rolled around, so the slits worked well for ventilation 😉
I thought there no better place to shoot this look than the grounds at Kimberly Crest, a local historical gem with gorgeous views of the city. It’s one of my favorite places to visit on my day off to just let the stress from the week melt away.

If you follow me on Instagram, you already know that I picked up some awesome new things from H&M, including this darling feather-print skirt. It’s so airy and light and is really easy to wear. Next time, I’ll definitely try it with something more fitted, as I feel the blousy-ness of this black wasn’t as flattering on my frame as I’d have liked 🙂

Floral Maxi and Micro Bag

Happy first day of July!
Today and yesterday have brought the oddest weather for us southern Californians.. From windstorms to random sprinkles, all the while, still very hot and sticky outside. My day has shifted to working out in the early morning, indulging in frosty, fruity smoothies for snacks throughout the day, and going to bed right after the sun goes down. Call me a party pooper, but the first few weeks of summer for me take some getting used to and my energy level is at zero! Thankfully, that fades away and I’m ready for road trips and pool parties and everything else fun that this season has to offer 😀
