Hello loves!
Sad news to report… Mark and I were still so sick over the weekend that we had to miss the Natural Products West Expo 🙁 yesterday. I haven’t missed this event since I started attending, I believe 7 years ago! It’s where I learn about all of the amazing new products from natural skincare brands, tasty organic food, and exciting new makeup lines.
Since I was unable to attend this year, I had my proxy, my mother, stop by all of the beauty brands and report back! She owns a gift basket business, so she was also there checking out things for her store, but was kind enough to grab some palettes, skincare items, and lip colors for me to review. As soon as I’ve tested everything out, I will definitely be posting my thoughts and pictures on here!
Today’s look is a perfect mix of laid-back and glammed up. I’m loving airy, crossover blouses and ripped-knee jeans for summer, and paired with slick black accessories, this outfit is taken from pretty casual to date-night worthy. The lower neckline is the perfect backdrop to highlight this gorgeous lariat necklace from Gorjana, by way of Rocksbox. Floral Maxi & Strappy Heels Nothing feels quite like the beginning of spring like a floral print maxi dress. This one in particular, with the high slits that allow a breeze to pass through, the bright and cheery pattern, and the fluttering kimono-like sleeves.. It’s pretty much love all around. I also love that you can dress it up a bit, with some crystal-emblazoned accessories, or down, with just some flip-flops to lounge poolside.
This dress is one of the many items I’ll be stocking my closet with this summer from BohoCheri boutique. Speaking of summer plans, there was a baby hiccup in making our travel plans to Puerto Rico. We will have to leave a day earlier than the rest of the wedding party, so Mark and I will have more time to explore the historic areas of San Juan by ourselves. I very much look forward to checking out the Castillo San Felipe del Morro (a gorgeous castle with incredible views and lighthouses), dining at places like Greengos Caribbean Cantina and Casa Cortes ChocoBar, and shopping along the Calle del Cristo.

Embroidered Sundress & Denim Jacket Hello loves!
I have to say it quickly, before it disappears, but spring has arrived in Southern California! We generally only get a few short weeks in between frigid mornings and hundred degree afternoons, and I like to take advantage of every moment! Little sundresses, sandals, delicate floral prints… It’s a girly girl’s dream season to get dressed for.

Holli (my dream of a photographer and good friend) and I decided to stop in for a bite and some refreshments at Dhat Island, a new Caribbean restaurant located in the downtown area of Redlands, CA. When I read that baby coconuts were on the menu, I’m pretty sure that I let out a squeal! I love coconut water and there’s nothing more fresh than right out of the shell.

I also wanted to share something that I’m super excited to start planning.. My good friend & coworker, Amanda, is getting married in Puerto Rico this summer! I’ve been asked to be the maid-of-honor, a task which is seemingly overwhelming but I’m up for the challenge. I could definitely use tips on how to be the best MOH possible, and also if you have any recommendations for things to do and see in and around San Juan, Puerto Rico!

BohoCheri Spring Looks

Hello loves! You may recognize the gorgeous lady standing next to me from previous shoots in the reflection of my sunglasses, but if not, please allow me to introduce you to Holli, one of my amazing photographers! Holli is not only incredible at making me feel comfortable and help me figure out what the heck I’m doing, but she’s a great friend as well. When we were brainstorming ideas for our next shoot, it only came naturally that Holli, a modern hippie at heart, would join me on the fun side of the camera, to help me show off some BohoCheri spring looks.
We’re both wearing designs from BohoCheri, a local boutique that I’ve recently become enamored with.
