Raoul Gown and Rafe Clutch Dinner Date Look

It was about that time again for another dinner date with my love!
Last night, in celebration of Inland Empire Restaurant Week, le boyfriend and I headed to the Grand Oak Steakhouse for a lovely 4 course meal. I’ve recently started the FitGirlsGuide 28 Day Jumpstart program, so this was my first non-cheat cheat meal, and I must say it was so delightful! Especially ending on that sweet warm chocolate and berry note… After dinner, I wanted to walk the grounds a bit and we stumbled upon a lavender field, which turned out to be pretty ideal for a couple shots of my rented Raoul maxi dress.

A close-up of the Rafe clutch I rented with my Unlimited status at Rent the Runway. Its surprisingly roomy, and fit my cell phone, credit cards and cash, lipstick, mini perfume vial, and even my sunglasses! I would definitely rent this little guy again. It will be so ideal for summer events.

My Restaurant Week meal included a locally harvested salad, complimentary artichoke crostini bite, Sea Bass with potatoes, fennel salad, and grapefruit, and warmed chocolate cake with raspberries and pistachio ice cream. We also got soup (carrot with chutney and green garlic, respectively, but they looked oh so blah in the bowl!)

The sunset on the drive home was breathtaking! Such a great way to end a lovely evening with my favorite person.

Beverly Hills Brunch

Two things that will get me out of a stressed-at-work funk every time – leaving town and brunch! Last weekend, the boyfriend and I took the hour drive to Beverly Hills to indulge in the most luxurious, tasty brunch menu at The Beverly Hilton. We had an Amazon deal which included unlimited mimosas (hello!), a starter, an entrée, unlimited trips to the buffet, and a dessert plate to die for… Everything was so fresh and gorgeous. I definitely recommend it if you’re in the area 🙂

My favorite for sure was the pudding/chocolate mousse cup.

Seafoam Dress and Lace Biker Jacket

A couple days ago, I tore through a box of about 14 dresses I bought from ASOS (thanks to a lovely combination of a great discount code, lax return policy and a decent amount of red wine while browsing, it gets me every time!), and this was the one I was most “meh” about right out of the bag. I loved the color but it was quite sack-like on the hanger. I tried it on, threw on a skinny belt, and OMG, I love this dress! The best part is the Loeffler Randall bag I am currently borrowing has little hints of this color throughout it, so it paired beautifully.

Pleated Floral Skirt and Dark Lips OOTD

I love when I’m able to work typically spring/summer items in to an outfit in the colder months. It makes me feel like my wardrobe has doubled in possibilities!
This midi skirt was a recent find from one of my favorite online retailers, ASOS (and is currently on sale for $15!!). I felt like this look needed a bold, dark lip to balance out the airy, floral pattern of the skirt. For a little play on textures, I added these black booties with a vinyl front panel.
