Happy Wednesday, loves! I’m writing to you from Central Ohio, which I’m starting to think might be the bipolar weather capital of the world ? We’ve seen bright, sunshiny days, along with rain, wind, and fog, all over the course of a couple of days. No snow just yet, but I’m sure it’s coming! It still hasn’t prevented me from breaking out some of my summer dresses, which happens to be the Trend Spin Linkup topic this week. A summer dress can be interpreted as many things, but I think bright solids and bold prints, especially in lightweight fabrics at midi and maxi length, are my top picks. Styling Trending Above Jewelry Two Ways

It’s been a rollercoaster of a week for me. Last Friday and Saturday consisted of a two day immersive retreat called Amplify in Irvine, CA. It was an incredibly introspective experience, gently forcing me to think about my goals, what I wanted, and why I wanted it.
It was such an eye-opening experience and I am so thankful that I was invited to attend. I actually got quite a bit emotional at the end, not only because the retreat was coming to a close, but also because everyone was sharing about what they learned and how they felt.. I was almost brought to tears! Saying goodbye to all of my new friends, all of those incredible boss babes, was hard, but now I can sit back and follow them all on their journeys and hope to meet up with everyone again soon!

This post has been a little while coming, and I hope you’ve enjoyed some of the sneaks I’ve been sharing on Instagram. We had SO many great shooting locations and outfits, it’s been hard not to share the whole lot of them on there!
I’ve been working with Gozon for a while, and I know that I LOVE so many of their styles, so I was over the moon when they asked if I wanted to get a group of influencer friends of mine together for a little group shoot! I jump at the chance to do anything social with fellow bloggers and influencers, and it just sounded like a good time to me, so I was in! I reached out to several proprietors in the North Park area of San Diego, contacted some of my favorite girls that I follow in that area, and we were all ready to shoot!

We started out wandering around the North Park Nursery, a neighborhood staple since 2006, providing a plethora of California-produced plants, and a place that had us all ooh-ing and awe-ing at their huge assortment of succulents.

Our next stop was right next door to the shared spare at Communal Coffee and Native Poppy. A super cute coffee shop with a flower shop tucked inside… Sold!

Plaid Swing Dress & Studded Ankle Booties

I adore the muted shades of grey with the pop of the red stripes, and how easily it can be dressed up or down. I paired it with black tights, studded ankle booties and a lightweight trench, but I can easily see it with a glam statement necklace and heels. It also has pockets, so, winning!
I’ve started to look to Gozon for reasonably-priced basics and on-trend items, like ruffle-sleeve tops, high-neck dresses and crushed velvet everything. They also carry plus-size items, most of which are the same as the straight-sized styles, and I can’t tell you how happy that makes me. It’s so annoying when brands offer like 10 not-cute items in plus to say that they have a plus line, but Gozon offers hundreds of styles for the extra curvy babes, and just as adorable and of-the-moment.
