Gozon Spring Lookbook in North Park

Hello, dolls!
This post has been a little while coming, and I hope you’ve enjoyed some of the sneaks I’ve been sharing on Instagram. We had SO many great shooting locations and outfits, it’s been hard not to share the whole lot of them on there!
I’ve been working with Gozon for a while, and I know that I LOVE so many of their styles, so I was over the moon when they asked if I wanted to get a group of influencer friends of mine together for a little group shoot! I jump at the chance to do anything social with fellow bloggers and influencers, and it just sounded like a good time to me, so I was in! I reached out to several proprietors in the North Park area of San Diego, contacted some of my favorite girls that I follow in that area, and we were all ready to shoot!

We started out wandering around the North Park Nursery, a neighborhood staple since 2006, providing a plethora of California-produced plants, and a place that had us all ooh-ing and awe-ing at their huge assortment of succulents.

Our next stop was right next door to the shared spare at Communal Coffee and Native Poppy. A super cute coffee shop with a flower shop tucked inside… Sold!

After we wrapped at this location, we headed to our next spot, to visit the much-grammed pink wall and succulents outside of Pigment, an adorably curated gift store.

Fall Florals Button Maxi Dress

Hello, beauties!
I know you may be thinking, “Hey, does that dress look familiar?” Well, you’d be right, because this is a very similar style to a dress that I wore recently, just in a slightly different and more fall-tastic color palette. I was so in love with the first style I bought, I wanted to see what other patterns it came in.. Turns out, the answer is – a lot! Just about 35 variations on the same dress, and I’ve got my eye on at least 2 others for fall. The length is perfect on me, (I’m 5’7″), the material is slightly stretchy and lightweight without being transparent, and the button-details, although a pain in the ass the first time you close them all up, look so pretty spanning the front of the dress.
I can say that without a doubt that my mentality of “If you find something you like, buy it in multiple colors” came from my mom. As a young teenager, it was pretty difficult to find clothing in my size that was actually cute, so when my mom took me shopping and I found something that fit, she would encourage me to find every variation they offered! So sometimes, I would come home with 3 butterfly-print maxi skirts with different colored backgrounds. It’s been a little difficult to break that mentality EVERY time I go shopping haha, but a girl has to set a budget eventually!

My Perfect Summer Dress – Worn Two Ways

Hello, hello, my loves!
If you’re reading this after seeing my post on Instagram, you will already know the news… these long locks are no more! My photographer brought to my attention, actually the afternoon of my big chop, that I still had one last post to share before the big reveal. She asked me if I was going to look back at our shoot, this shot in particular, and regret my decision. More about that in my next post!
For now, I just want to rave some more about this perfect maxi dress that I discovered while browsing around on Amazon’s prime day. It wasn’t included in the deals, but that didn’t matter, because it was still under $30! It comes in like a bagillion colors, OK, closer to 35, but I fell in love with this one because the print reminded me of something Reformation would create. I have neither the budget for that brand, nor am I even sure that they carry my size, plus there’s Amazon Prime soooo.
I wanted to share a couple of different ways to style a dress like this, because first instinct would be to throw on a pair of flat sandals and call it a day. For the first look, I chose some brand new white sneaks, a denim jacket, little crossbody bag and delicate layered necklaces. This is so perfect for brunch with the girls or a date where you know you’ll be walking a bunch. Later on in the post, I paired it with some mixed-metal mules, my favorite O-ring bag, and some oversized sunnies. I’d definitely wear this to go shopping or grabbing a quick dinner with the boyfriend. I hope you enjoy the looks!

Maxi in the Halls

Hi, babes!
I know, I know, another floral maxi dress, but I just can’t get enough of them! This is one of my favorite prints yet, a vivid floral with a deep blue background. This one has great deep pockets, a high neckline to frame gorgeous metallic jewelry, and a lovely flow when walking. I will say that it was a toucccch short on me, at 5’7″, with flat sandals it was still a couple inches shorter than I would have liked. This exact dress is sold out, but I’m hoping for a restock soon! Until then, check out these other gorgeous maxis Perfectly Priscilla has to offer.
It’s always kind of crazy going back to shoot at places that used to mean something else to me. We went to Crafton Hills College to capture these images, and years ago, I used to attend college here. So much has changed, so many improvements made, and a lot of measures to make this once sterile campus more inviting, green, and beautiful. As with every college campus, there are little nooks and crannies, places to hide away and get some piece and quiet to study or decompress. I know I’m probably not supposed to since I’m no longer a student, but sometimes I come up here just on an off day to read a book and tune out the world. There are gorgeous vistas of the mountains and valleys to look out upon.
