Moody Florals with Mint Julep Boutique

Hello, loves!
Today, I’ve partnered with an awesome online store called Mint Julep Boutique to share one of their gorgeous floral maxi dresses! This one is called Peaceful Paradise, which I think is quite apt for a dress this pretty. One thing I will say, is that I found the background of the dress to be black, not navy, as stated on their website. I could be imagining things, but my photographer and boyfriend agreed with me! I wore it with a light denim jacket to ward off the chill that’s been hitting us recently when the evening rolls around. For accessories, I paired my new espadrille wedges (hello, 90’s shoutout!), a stack of glimmering gold bangles and my favorite crystal necklace.

Embroidered Sundress & Denim Jacket Hello loves!
I have to say it quickly, before it disappears, but spring has arrived in Southern California! We generally only get a few short weeks in between frigid mornings and hundred degree afternoons, and I like to take advantage of every moment! Little sundresses, sandals, delicate floral prints… It’s a girly girl’s dream season to get dressed for.

Holli (my dream of a photographer and good friend) and I decided to stop in for a bite and some refreshments at Dhat Island, a new Caribbean restaurant located in the downtown area of Redlands, CA. When I read that baby coconuts were on the menu, I’m pretty sure that I let out a squeal! I love coconut water and there’s nothing more fresh than right out of the shell.

I also wanted to share something that I’m super excited to start planning.. My good friend & coworker, Amanda, is getting married in Puerto Rico this summer! I’ve been asked to be the maid-of-honor, a task which is seemingly overwhelming but I’m up for the challenge. I could definitely use tips on how to be the best MOH possible, and also if you have any recommendations for things to do and see in and around San Juan, Puerto Rico!

Convertible Dress and Metallic Accents

I literally threw this look together in 3 minutes when the boyfriend said we needed to leave very soon to go errand-running… I’d just taken the dress out of it’s package, fresh from J.Crew Factory’s clearance section, and was messing around with it as a skirt, dress, etc. It was a bit chilly, so I reached for this denim jacket, and quickly finished the look off with some metallic accessories. Grab and go! 😀

A Long Week of OOTDs

A couple of things I’ve noticed after uploading this series of outfit-of-the-days.. First, I’ve really been enjoying my hair in a bun! I think it looks chicer, generally, than a ponytail, and I have just NOT been liking the feeling of hair on my neck. Also, I’ve been trying to mix it up a bit with my work wardrobe. I typically wear just black or grey pants and a nicer top. Recently, I’ve found myself throwing on a skirt or dress and running with it!

This weekend, I’m headed to LA to explore the California Gift Show and LA Mart, and hopefully pick up some new pretty things. I’m excited to see one of my favorite jewelry designers, Kyle Chan from Kyle Chan Designs! I always end up picking up a piece or two from his gorgeous collection. This time around, I’m thinking about this necklace or this bracelet…. Which do you think I should go for? Or both!? 😀
