Bumble and Bumble Mini Haul

I’d never come across a hair care line that I love so completely before Bumble and Bumble. Literally everything that I’ve tried from them is something that I not only find myself reaching for frequently, but it actually does what it says it will do! That cream that says it gives hair polish and separation… Does exactly that. The Thickening Spray builds up each strand and gives incredible volume without weighing hair down. They’re simply the best overall brand that I’ve tried. I’m going to post soon about the contents of my hair product-centric medicine cabinet which will include all of my B&B collection, but for now, these are the newest additions, accompanied by my Secret Santa gift from my coworker.

Beauty Buys ~ October

This year’s holiday beauty offerings were some of the best I’ve seen yet! It was quite difficult to decide which of the sparkly sets I should add to my collection after perusing the goods at beauty mecca Sephora. I ended up picking the Bon Voyage set from Tarte, the Josie Maran Winter Dreams Argan Collection, and the Juicy Couture Travel Pen set. I also picked up my essential brow pencil from Anastasia Beverly Hills and a couple of Dolce & Gabbana fragrance minis.

So far, I’m loving from Josie Maran the light Argan oil as a pre-foundation base, the coconut water eye color for a metallic bronze wash on the eyelids, and of course, the pretty travel case from Tarte. As far as the perfume goes, I’ve only spritzed the Viva la Juicy Noir. It smells so lovely at first, but an hour later, even a direct sniff of my wrist and there is nothing there 🙁 It might just end up being a fragrance I carry with me at night for touch-ups.

What’s in My Makeup Bag

Just as ever-evolving as my closet, are the contents of my makeup bag. Sometimes, I like to just throw on mascara and some cheek tint and head out the door. More often than not, my routine recently has been foundation, concealer where needed (blemishes, under eyes), some metallic cream eyeshadow, brow powder, mascara, pink powder blush and a touch of black eyeliner on the waterline. I didn’t picture any lip products because I actually just keep those in my purse, and that aspect of my routine changes literally day to day. Below, what I’m currently using to make myself up and presentable to the public, or as I tell Mark, “I’m going to go put on my face.”

New Nail Pretties

Ok, so I may have gone overboard with the polishes this past month. I feel like having well-manicured nails really does boost my confidence and helps me feel more pulled-together. I’m especially feelin’ the glitter topcoats to add another dimension to cream/metallic polishes that I’ve been wearing for a couple days that have begun to chip. It saves me the hassle of starting from scratch so I only have to do the full routine once every 6-7 days. Perhaps I will show a few fun color combos in the coming weeks!
